JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF SR. ASSISTANT MANAGER (GENL)

 

  1. Allocate work in a manner which promotes coordinated action and completion of individual tasks according to established priorities and in accordance with the rules and instructions.Review work performed by the Assistants/Junior Superintendents and other staff in his Section.

 

  1. Carry out the inspection of Central Warehouses and attend to other items of work as may be assigned by the Regional Manager or his superiors from time to time including sorting out the problems of depositors.

 

  1. While posted as Warehouse Manager, is directly in charge of all the operations of the warehouse, he is responsible for the proper implementation and for strict compliance of the instructions laid down by the Corporation.As the Warehouse Manager, he is main operational field officer and in that capacity he is to maintain close liaison with the depositors and also close public contacts.

 

  1. Exercise administrative and financial powers as may be delegated.

 

  1. Any other work as may be assigned from time to time by senior officers.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF SR. ASSISTANT MANAGER (TECHNICAL)

 

 

  1. Under the general supervision/general direction of higher officers, organize and coordinate the activities of Quality Control/Laboratory Sections.Organize, supervise and coordinate the activities of the staff in the section/sections under his charge.Allocate work in a manner which promotes coordinated action and completion of individual tasks according to established priorities and in accordance with the rules and instructions.Check attendance registers to ensure punctuality and maintain discipline in the section/sections under his charge.Train, help, advise and motivate his staff to work cooperatively and conscientiously.

 

  1. If posted in the Regional Office, look after quality control and Laboratory Sections and assist Deputy Manager (Tech/Regional Manager) on various matters relating to Quality Control.He shall arrange for analysis of samples of food grains, received and dispatched by the warehouses and for maintenance of record of analysis of samples and Reference Library under the guidance of Deputy Manager (Tech/Regional Manager) and inspect the warehouse(s) for checking quality of food grains in storage, disinfestations arrangements and hygienic conditions and advice the staff on remedial measures.Deal with different activities in the Technical Division, Head Office/Technical sections in Regional Office.

 

  1. While working in Regional Office, is responsible for boosting the DES scheme and FES and achieve the financial targets for the scheme.To carry out inspection of all sort of technical equipment, chemicals and dunnage materials, offered by suppliers for delivery to Corporation.

 

  1. Any other work as may be assigned from time to time by Senior officers.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT ENGINEER

 

 

  1. To supervise and execute all construction works, maintenance works as per specifications/agreements under the overall control and directions of the Executive Engineer concerned including management of material and to furnish technical guidance to the Sectional Officer and to ensure timely completion of works, keeping the Executive Engineer informed about the progress of works under his charge.

 

  1. To prepare estimates for capital/maintenance works as may be assigned to him and to scrutinize contractors running account/final bills and to forward the same to Executive Engineer duly supported by the Certificates of test-check of measurement as per the standing instructions in the matter.

 

  1. To maintain initial accounts of cash and stores for each work in accordance with codal instructions as well as those contained in the office manual.

 

  1. Any other work as may be assigned from time to time by Senior Officers.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF ACCOUNTANT

 

 

  1. Checking up the work of Junior Superintendent and other staff under his charge.
  2. Attending to important cases.
  3. Reconciliation of heads of accounts for compilation of annual accounts.
  4. Compilation of trial balances.
  5. Review of statement of outstanding dues received from the field units.
  6. Preparation and filing of income tax returns of the Corporation and assistance in income tax cases.
  7. Compilation of statistical data for submission to Govt./BPE/CAG/other agencies.
  8. Preparation of data for performance review and performance budget.
  9. Compilation of accounts of Warehousing Fund.
  10. Scrutiny of cases referred by other Divisions for financial concurrence etc.
  11. Assistance to the Auditors.
  12. Reconciliation and incorporation of accounts.
  13. Vetting of proposals for grant of cash allowance.
  14. Preparation of monthly cash flow statements.
  15. Correspondence with Regional Offices, Construction Cells etc.
  16. Perform other related work as may be assigned to him from time to time.

 

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF WAREHOUSE MANAGER

 

(IN THE CAPACITY OF DEPUTY MANAGER/SR. ASSISTANT MANAGER/STORAGE AND INSPECTION OFFICER/SUPERINTENDENT/TECHNICAL ASSISTANT & JR. SUPERINTENDENT INCHARGE)

 

 

  1. To act as In charge of the warehouse and to generally ensure proper and timely discharge of functions assigned to the warehouses.

 

  1. To ensure the safety and scientific preservation of stocks, proper and up to date maintenance of records, insurance of stocks, judicious use of the equipments, fumigants and other property of the Corporation.

 

  1. To liaise with the State Government, Cooperatives Marketing Institutions and other prospective customers including Government Undertakings.

 

  1. To exercise supervision over the staff so as to maintain proper discipline and to ensure that there is complete cohesion and harmony among the staff as also to inculcate team spirit, cooperation and sense of participation amongst the staff working at the warehouse.

 

  1. To exercise overall vigil and exhibit due presence of mind in case of any emergency and to act according to the situation on the spot with Corporationís interest paramount in mind.

 

  1. To exercise administrative and financial powers as may be delegated.

 

  1. Any other work as may be assigned from time to time by Senior Officers.

 

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR SUPERINTENDENT

 

I.         While working in the warehouse will discharge the under mentioned duties:

 

1.       Act as in charge of the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager being on leave/tour in case the Junior Superintendent happens to be the senior-most official at the particular warehouse.In such a case, he will discharge all the functions assigned to the Warehouse Manager.

 

2.       Carry out day to day administration of the warehouses and to assist the Warehouse Manager in the discharge of his responsibilities particularly those pertaining to supervision of warehouse operations, custody and preservation of stocks, equipments and dead stock items including upkeep of records/accounts, supervision over the staff work and receipts and payment on behalf of the Corporation as per laid down procedures.

 

3.       Check and verify the godown-wise and commodity-wise accounts and append his signatures in token of having done so.

 

4.       Assist in ensuring proper godown hygiene as also to assist in building up of proper stacks.

 

5.       Act as in charge for stocks, operations and godown(s) as may be assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

 

6.       Ensure timely submission of returns and reports to Head Office/Regional Office and to handle general correspondence.

 

7.       Deal with all matters connected with H&T operations e.g. checking/countersigning of work-slips and scrutiny of contractorís bills.

 

8.       Any other work as may be assigned to him by the Warehouse Manager/Regional Office/Head Office

 

II.        While working in the Head Office/Regional Office will perform the under mentioned duties:

 

1.       Collect information, data for preparation of statements, replies to letters.

2.       Maintain guard file of policy matters.

3.       Deal with all matters relating to his subject of which he holds charge including various registers, files etc.

4.       Attend to indexing, weeding of files, etc.

5.       Putting up drafts, ensure comparison of original with drafts.

6.       Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

 

  1. Receive samples and enter in a register, get the same arranged in the sample room, may assist in preparing analysis report.
  2. Check maintenance of Reference Type Samples arranged by Dusting Operator.
  3. Carry out analysis of food grains by performing tests in determining the dehusk in rice, checking the length and breadth ratio on the gauge, checking moisture contents, checking and studying various refractions as separated by the Dusting Operator and others.
  4. Responsible for physical verification, quality and quantity of the stock.
  5. Physical and chemical test as may be prescribed from time to time.
  6. Collect data for returns and statements.
  7. Check quality of food grains at the time of receipt and issue.
  8. Assist in surprise checks
  9. Check and verify the godown-wise and commodity-wise accounts and append his signatures in token of having done so.
